Emotional Health and Musical Vibrations

You might be aware that when you are down music can lift your energy levels or calm you so that you relax. However, it is not by chance that music has the power to alter your mood. Melodies and songs have vibrations that react with chemicals in your brain. They can change your state of mind and increase your emotional health.

People have known for thousands of years that music is a potent tool. Cave dwellers listened to the rhythm of drums and entered trance-like states before they went hunting, knowing that their strength increased due to mood-enhancing sounds. Later, Gregorian monks used music to inspire congregations and raise people's minds to higher levels of thought.

Music can affect the human mind considerably when it is combined with brainwave entrainment. Adding binaural and monaural beats or isochronic tones to melodies can help people become deeply relaxed, or extremely focused or energetic.

However, you do not need to hear entrainment sounds in order to alter your brain waves as you can listen to natural frequencies made by the sea, waterfalls, or the rain. The sound that they produce might be described as white noise, which combines all frequencies. White noise can calm your mind and shield you from noise-traffic that you prefer not to hear.

When you want to heighten your energy levels, listen to songs with a fast beat that get your heart pumping quickly and make you want to dance. Your spirits will instantly be lifted once your become engrossed in high-energy music and let its vibrations influence you.

If you are sad, you can choose to listen to music that matches your emotions. Focusing on a song with a slow tempo can help you express your emotions and get to grips with your feelings. Alternatively, you can increase the vibration of your emotions and feel better by listening to bright, clear tones used in music that encourage your brain waves to alter.

Music can be a valuable resource if you want to increase your emotional health. Use melodies wisely and you will have an instant toolkit at your disposal that is capable of letting you control your emotional welfare.

The Universe can be a magical space. Undoubtedly the best mentor ever. And by far the most potent conduit of the ancient wisdom that is you. For who else knows it best but the very starstuff that soars, dips, and thrives within you.

And the great thing about this sacred space… it’s always there holding you. Ready to dance with you. Ready to share its wisdom with you. To honour your breath, your purpose, YOU.

And it always has a gift to share. Just like it has a gift to share with you right now. If you just let it. And here’s the trick about that. It has nothing to do with letting the Universe do anything. It doesn’t take orders. Or give them. It has to do with you giving yourself the space to be in that space.

The benefits of delta brainwaves include:

Youthfulness and good health. Anti-aging hormones, including melatonin and DHEA, are released when you produce delta brainwaves.
